My name is Kyle Groce. I currently live in Houston, Texas. I enjoy traveling, art, music, food, sports, and meeting people. When I was younger, someone gave me the nickname GMan and it has followed me off and on since then. With a last name like Groce (pronounced like “gross”), I have heard it all as far as jokes, so GMan it is, and AirshipG is an extension of that nickname.
I created this website to share photos of my adventures, short articles, and things that I find interesting. The website definitely has more of a slant to things happening in Houston, because that is where I currently live. If you are not from Houston, then enjoy the free tour of my city. If you are from Houston, you can count on me to post things that are fun, usually inexpensive, and definitely worth checking out.

I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up in a rural suburb of the city. At the age of 16 I earned the rank of Eagle Scout, and was active in outdoor activities, as well as band, yearbook and newspaper staff, and many other school activities. When I was 19 years old, I joined the United States Naval Reserves, and served as a hospital corpsman.
After the Navy, I attended Indiana, University in Bloomington and earned a Bachelors of Science in Public Administration and Environmental Science. I have worked as a high school science teacher and coach, as well as in business for many years. At the age of 40, I lost my business job and went back to school to become a nurse. Nursing has become a passion for me, as I genuinely like people.
There have been many bumps and turns in my life, but it has made me a stronger person as a result. I have lived all over the United States, as well as in Toronto, Canada. All of these things have helped me to form a perspective on life that is based upon mutual respect, a love for exploring, and a genuine curiosity in learning about new things and cultures. Enjoy your time on AirshipG, and thank you for letting me share a bit of time with you… because time is our most valuable commodity.
To change the world around us, we need to change ourselves first.

Here are a couple more recent photos of my family. Although I have moved all over the country, I will always be a Hoosier at heart.
